The annual World Juice Awards look to recognise those who have made outstanding achievements to the juice industry this year. With 5 different categories to choose from, this ceremony looks to increasingly reward those companies and individuals that are making the most significant developments within this competitive and dynamic market.

The five categories for this year’s Awards are:

Best New Juice Product – This award is open to any new juice product from anywhere in the world, and includes pure juice, smoothies, nectars and juice drinks. Any product with a great taste and a new message is in with a chance. Last year, Sainsbury’s Supermarket took the award with their “Chilled Apple & Boysenberry Juice”.

 Best Sustainability Initiative – This award reflects the importance of sustainable growth for the juice industry and is open to projects to reduce carbon footprint, improve water management, reduce the environmental impact of juice packaging or to provide a better distribution of socioeconomic benefits along the supply chain.

 Best Packaging for a Juice Product – With packaging leading the innovation arm of the juice industry this year, surely you must have seen something that’s caught your eye? It could be a new single serve, one-shot or take-home pack for example? If so make your nomination now!

 Best Innovation in Juice – Innovation is so important for growth in the juice industry. This award recognises the best innovation in any aspect of the industry over the last year. Last year’s award went to The Coca Cola Company in Turkey for their “Cappy Ramadan Sherbert” product, a limited edition juice drink flavour, launched only for the Ramadan period in Turkey.

 Outstanding Achievement in the Juice Industry – Whether an individual or an organisation, this category looks to reward those who have made a significant achievement in the juice industry this year. Has any person/company created something that has changed the industry for the better?  All shortlisted nominations will be featured on the World Juice website and at the conference, and the winner will be chosen by our panel of independent industry experts. All companies shortlisted for the Awards will be:

• Featured in the conference preview in Foodnews

• Featured on the Foodnews World Juice 2012 website in the weeks before the conference
